§ Afternoon Session: “Pathfinding Across Disciplines: Creativity & Interdisciplinarity in Undergraduate Research,” a 2.5-hour workshop format session in which we’ll help participants understand the process of
working with undergraduate students in any discipline on research that can be proposed for presentation at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research being held in April 2018 at UCO and/or at Oklahoma Research Day in March 2018. Dr. Timothy Petete of UCO, who has been extraordinarily effective in having his and other liberal arts faculty’s students accepted to present at NCUR will share ideas, experiences, and suggestions. We will also hear from two undergraduate students who presented at NCUR 2017 in Memphis, TN. This workshop session will produce takeaways for you and colleagues at your institution who want to provide a potentially transformative experience in both research and professional presentation for undergraduate students.
