The OKA+ Teacher Award is awarded to an Oklahoma A+ School Teacher whose extraordinary creativity and integration of the arts into the curriculum exemplifies the purpose of the A+ Schools of nurturing creativity in every learner. Administrative support of this whole school transformation is critical to its effectiveness.
In 2010, the DaVinci Board of Directors approved a new award to be given to an Oklahoma A+ School Teacher. This is especially appropriate because the Oklahoma A+ Schools was the DaVinci Institute’s first program.
The 2024 OKA+ Teacher Awardee is Morgan Mayhue of Millwood Arts Academy in Oklahoma City.
